Since 1996, Home HeadQuarters has played a major role in neighborhood revitalization efforts within the City of Syracuse and Central New York.  Accomplishments to date* include:

• Facilitated over 2,120 homebuyers in Central New York;


• Nearly 1,800 first-time homebuyers received Down Payment & Closing Cost Assistance totaling more than $6.1 million;


• 10,080 prospective and existing (non-foreclosure) homeowners received education through individual and group counseling;


• More than 4,960 individuals have graduated from Home HeadQuarters’ certified homebuyer education course


• Provided foreclosure prevention counseling services to over 1,050 clients in danger of losing their home to foreclosure.


• Assisted more than 1,400 families with minor home repairs through the Syracuse Homeowner Assistance Repair Program (SHARP) totaling over $1.3 million;


• More than 5,800 customers received major home repair assistance totaling over  $57 million with over 6,700 units rehabilitated;


• Generated more than $137 million in home purchase mortgage financing


• 143 formerly vacant homes have been rehabilitated for owner-occupants;


• 31 new properties have been constructed for owner-occupants; and


• Demolished or deconstructed 334 distressed properties.
