Whew! Block Blitz Complete!

Not only is Home HeadQuarters' Neighborhood Block Blitz complete, but the event was a great success—thanks to all of YOU! Local contractors stepped up in a big way donating their time and materials to Northside and Near Westside homeowners. Along with the donations from contractors and monies donated for programs and services, the Block Blitz helped raise more than $115,000 for Syracuse families. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this great event!

Foreclosures Spike Again in Syracuse

While some experts are saying the recession may be over, foreclosure trends in Syracuse are back on an upward swing. For the last three months, foreclosure filings in the city of Syracuse have increased more than 30% over the previous year.

University Neighborhood "Rescue a Rental" Program

UNPA (University Neighborhood Preservation Association) has launched a new program with help from Home HeadQuarters to assist new homebuyers in turning rental units into owner-occupied homes in a targeted area surrounding Syracuse University. The Rescue A Rental Program offers up to $4,500 in homebuyer's assistance and a home improvement loan of up to $20,000 at 2.99% for approved interior and exterior renovations.
