Vacant, neglected properties continue to be a problem in our neighborhoods. In the City of Syracuse, substantial disinvestment of the City’s urban core, and a significant population loss of more than 30% has drastically reduced the demand for housing, leaving a glut of more than 3,000 vacant and deteriorating homes in some of the City’s most challenged neighborhoods.

If left alone, these properties will continue to negatively affect the property values of surrounding homes and create potentially dangerous conditions. HHQ’s comprehensive approach to neighborhood stabilization and revitalization includes the removal of these hazardous properties and over the last 15 years, we have demolished more than 400 properties.
