Home HeadQuarters Inc., a nonprofit neighborhood and community development organization and community development financial institution that provides home ownership, home improvement and property development opportunities for Upstate New Yorkers, announced two job changes.
Elroy Edwards is now its chief construction officer. A resident of the South Side of Syracuse, he is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of HHQ’s new single-family home construction as part of the organization’s NYS Affordable Home Ownership program and other residential projects. Prior to Home HeadQuarters, Edwards worked for Covenant Housing, Jubilee Homes, and works as a sole proprietor with Edwards Home Improvement.
Maria Weir is now the chief financial officer responsible for all the organization’s financial activities including financial planning, risk management, audits, financial statements, grant funding and reporting. She previously worked in the nonprofit healthcare industry for 15 years, and prior to that, 10 years at a private certified public accounting firm.
